Privacy and cookies

This page explains exactly what this website collects, who can see it and how long it stays. It is written to be read without a lawyer. If anything is unclear, write to us and we will answer in plain words.

The free-trial enquiry

The free-trial form asks for your venue name and one contact — an email address or a phone number. You can attach your menu, but you do not have to; the enquiry sends without it.

  • Your venue name, so we know who we are talking to.
  • Your email address or phone number, as the only way we can reach you.
  • Your menu as an attachment, optional: PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB. The file name is stored with it.
  • The language of the page you were on, so we reply in the same language.
  • The random visit number described in the next section, and a random number for the enquiry itself that stops a double-click on the button creating two enquiries.

How long we keep an enquiry

The attachment and its file name are removed automatically 90 days after the enquiry arrives. The rest of the enquiry — venue name, contact, language, the status of our conversation, our internal note and campaign labels — is deleted no later than 12 months after it arrives.

Both periods run from the day the enquiry arrived and are not extended by us getting in touch or writing a note. The deletion is run by the server itself, once at start-up and then every hour, with nobody having to remember it.

The attachment is held in our database, not at a public internet address. Only mojmeni system administrators can download it, after signing in, and browsers are told not to cache it.

We use an enquiry to contact you and prepare your trial, and its campaign labels to see which campaigns bring enquiries. We send no automated messages, add you to no newsletter list, and neither sell nor pass your contact to anyone else.

We use your IP address solely to limit how many enquiries one connection can send per minute, as spam protection. It is never written to the database. Our record of an enquiry holds neither the browser you used nor the page you came from. The outside services described below, like any web server, see your IP address and browser in the request itself.

If you would like your enquiry and attachment removed before those dates, write to us and we will remove them.

How we count visits

So we can tell how many people open the demo and how many go on to enquire, we record three steps: opening a public page, opening the demo menu, and placing a practice order in the demo.

Each visit is given a random number that is kept in your browser and lasts 30 minutes. That number is not tied to your name, email, IP address or device, we do not fingerprint your browser, and we cannot tell from it who you are. After 30 minutes it expires and the next visit gets a new one.

On the server, that number is stored with three “yes” or “no” marks for those steps, the time the visit began and, if present in the entry link, campaign labels: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term. We accept only short text labels up to 160 characters; we do not store the full page address, ad click identifiers, IP address, browser details or referring page. The first source stays the same for 30 minutes, including when you move to a page without labels.

When you send an enquiry, its visit number and a copy of the campaign labels are stored with it, so we can see how many enquiries follow a demo and which campaigns bring them. Visit rows are deleted after 90 days, breaking the link to the visit. The copied labels stay with the enquiry until it is deleted, no later than 12 months after it arrives.

The same counting runs in a real digital menu at a venue: when a guest scans a table's QR code, we record the menu opening, an item being viewed and an item being added to the basket, against a random visit number that lasts 30 minutes. Those rows are also deleted after 90 days. The demo menu on this website sends none of these events.

Visit analytics: Overcentric

For visit analytics we use an outside service, Overcentric. It can record which page you are looking at and what you do on it, and it processes that on its own infrastructure.

Overcentric runs only on mojmeni.ba and only on the public pages: the home page, the demo menu, the QR menu guide and this page. It does not run in a venue's dashboard, on the staff sign-in, on activation links, in a venue's guest menu, or on development and preview versions of the site.

The page a visit starts on decides this. If it started on one of the public pages, measurement stays on until you close or reload the page, and so follows the public pages you move to. If the visit started anywhere else, measurement does not start for the rest of that visit. This is why links to the sign-in and the dashboard are built to reload the page.

This measurement is not advertising and it runs regardless of your choice in the notice at the bottom of the page; that notice controls only the Google Ads measurement described below.

Google Ads measurement

On those same public pages we load the Google tag for our Google Ads account, tag AW-18455223239. It shows us which ad led to an enquiry, a call or a practice order.

The tag loads with consent denied. Until you choose to allow measurement in the notice at the bottom of the page, Google may not store anything on your device for ads, ad personalisation or analytics, and the identifiers from an ad click are stripped from what is sent to Google.

We measure four events: a trial enquiry sent, a tap on WhatsApp, a tap on the phone number, and a practice order in the demo menu.

If you have allowed measurement and you send an enquiry, the contact you typed into the form is sent with the measurement: your email address in lower case, or your phone number in international format. This is Google's enhanced conversions feature, and it exists so Google can tell that the enquiry came from the person who saw the ad. The Google tag turns the contact into an irreversible hash in your browser before sending it.

If you have not allowed measurement, your contact is sent to nobody. Google then receives only the signal that an enquiry was sent, and may store nothing on your device while doing so.

Google is an outside service and processes that data under its own terms, on its own infrastructure.

What is stored in your browser

Your choice about ad measurement is kept in your browser's local storage, under the name mojmeni:ads-consent. It stays until you change it or clear the site's data. If that storage is blocked, the choice lasts only until you close the page, and we will ask again.

The random visit number and its campaign labels are kept in session storage for up to 30 minutes. They are lost when you close the tab and never reach us as a cookie.

All of the above is our own first-party storage, not cookies. Advertising cookies can be set by the Google tag, and only after you allow measurement. Overcentric may also keep data in your browser in order to recognise the same visit.

Changing or withdrawing your consent

At the bottom of every public page, including this one, there is “Cookie settings”. Clicking it reopens the notice, where you can choose differently as often as you like.

When you choose not to allow measurement, the Google tag is instructed immediately and stops storing anything for ads. If you change the choice in another tab or window, this page picks it up without a reload.

Clearing the site's data in your browser also clears the remembered choice, so we will ask again on your next visit.

Withdrawing consent stops ad measurement from then on. To withdraw measurements already sent, write to us and we will ask for them to be removed.
